Canary Islands! Fuerteventura...

So. The goal of this trip was to go surfing. Didn't happen. It was sooooo windy, the sand hurt when it whipped against our skin on the beaches... And the awesome surf swell came in the day we left, of course. However. We all had a blast tidepooling, messing with an octopus, biking along the coast, visiting different beaches, and just overall enjoying being outside, because besides the wind, the weather was awesomely warm and inviting! :) Oh ya, and we had an apartment at 12 Euro a piece per night, with an ocean view. In fact, the pool overlooked the ocean, and when the tide was in, it only took 20 steps (max) to be in the ocean. Yeah, it was amazing!

Tidepooling

Julianne threw a dead Sea Cucumber at Mark, and he dodged it when he was supposed to catch it!

View from my bedroom window :)

Lots of random windmills on this island. The people walking by laughed at us for all the random pictures we were taking.

Tidepooling round 2... We stuck a pen near an octopus to see what it would do... it ate the pen!! ...Then spit it back out.

Biking around the island...

This photo is hazy because of the SAND. We're guessing the gusts reached 40 mph.

It's fun to play with the random trash on the beach and along the side of the road.

Gymnasts pretending we can still do handstands... haha

There was actually SAND on this beach! Most of the coastline is straight up lava, but still fun :)

Thanksgiving... Spain Style ;)

Thanksgiving prep/meal. Definitely a different experience not being with my family, but it definitely brought all of us Americans closer... In a weird sort of way, I feel like this is my new family-away-from-home...
